My name is Chris Kolmatycki. I’m a marketer, a business owner, a perpetual student of international business, and a proud citizen of Halifax, Nova Scotia. I’m also a baseball fan, a huge lover of black cherry soda, and media addict.
I moved from Toronto to Halifax to attend Dalhousie University and haven’t looked back. I’ve worked in investment banking for RBC, external relations for Dalhousie’s Faculty of Management, operations management for the research and development department of Research In Motion, designed video games for HB Studios in Lunenburg, and finally started my adventure as an entrepreneur by founding Denote Communications and Profile Halifax Magazine.
In 2011, I was selected to represent the province of Nova Scotia as a trade ambassador for Junior Team Canada. With other Canadian youth, I was tasked with building international trade between Canada and Nova Scotia, and Indonesia/Malaysia. You can view my experience on the trip here. International trade has always been a passion of mine and I am excited about bringing my enthusiasm for it to Halifax and help our great city live up to its potential.
You can check out a somewhat comprehensive list of the things I’ve done on my LinkedIn profile.
This site intends to be a mix of my personal interests, postings on the marketing and advertising industry, and about my pursuits in international trade and growing Nova Scotia.
